WHAT IS HOUSE CHURCH?
If you’ve been at Restoration long, you know that we believe the church is not a place it’s a people. Over the next few weeks, as we practice social distancing, we can still practice The Way of Jesus in our homes, with our families and friends.
During this time, we will be gathering both in-person and online for worship, prayer, and teaching together.
WHY HOUSE CHURCH?
In response to the COVID-19 outbreak, we want to be cautious not to spread this virus, especially to our community of seniors and those with compromised immune systems. House church is a way to come together with a small group of people to connect with others and with God.
WHO IS HOUSE CHURCH FOR?
House Church is for anyone who wants to host their family or friends together in a group of 10 or less in their homes. Experts are saying that small gatherings like these can be held with minimal risk; however, it is the responsibility of each and every one of us to take necessary precautions to care for the vulnerable.
We aren’t spreading the virus, but we are spreading the kingdom. If you know people who you’d like to invite to join you at your house for church, we’re all for that. Reach out to a few friends and/or family members to host a House Church using our Gathering Guides.
WE STILL URGE CAUTION
Do not attend a House Church if you are sick, might be sick, or have any reason to think you have been exposed to COVID-19. This is not out of fear, but out of love.
Make sure shared surfaces are disinfected before and after each gathering.
Wash your hands thoroughly (more than 20 seconds) upon arrival and upon returning home.
Serve food and drink individually and with washed hands.
Be conscious of maintaining a healthy physical distance between people (e.g. try not to shake hands, high five, or hug).
