I once met this family in Arkansas. The patriarch’s name is Bob, he and his wife, Doris, had a son named Bobby and a daughter named Jeannie. Jeannie married a football-player-turned-nurse named Bob. Jeannie and Bob had a son named James Robert, or as they called him, Jim Bob. I mentioned they live in Arkansas, right?

Every day, the ladies would produce dinner. They didn’t just make dinner. They produced it. It was a production. It was like watching Be Our Guest. If you tried the gray stuff, it really was delicious. Everyone would gather around the table and time would stand still as the meal was savored. It wasn’t quick to make, so it wasn’t quickly devoured. The meal commenced with thanking God for the meal. But, as the meal came to a close and conversation began to slow down, Bob, the patriarch, would deliberately look to his wife and the ladies who had helped and say to her, “Thank you.” Then, each person would take a turn saying thank you. Around the circle, it would go. Each person saying thank you.

Every. Single. Meal.

I feel as though right now it’s time first to thank God for His provision thus far. It’s amazing that we’re even close to where we are right now. God has provided time and time and time again. Even in just ridiculous ways. God has done what He’s promised. 9 months ago, when this was just a crazy dream, I thought there was no way this could actually work. Just no way.

We are not here because of fundraising or financial planning (although those things are good things). We are only here because of the faithfulness of our God. He’s supplying our needs to accomplish His plan – just as He promised.

I can tell you person after person who has given time, talent and treasure to make this church a reality. I would be remiss if I didn’t say thank you to all of you who have been faithful in your giving and generous in your obedience to support us. Thank you so much. As we prepare to launch publicly, this will continue to be a huge need for us. Thank you for your support thus far.

We have been blessed by many individuals as well as bodies of believers. I just wanted to give a quick shoutout to the churches who have invested in various ways in Restoration:

I sincerely hope that each person and church has a great Thanksgiving season. Know that we, here at Restoration, are thankful for you.
