The Peacemakers
Kevin Stamper
God made the world for shalom — a wholeness and flourishing across every relationship — but sin shattered it, and the earth has been filling with hamas, violence and injustice, in every form ever since. Jesus came not simply to announce peace but to make it, absorbing the world's violence at the cross and reconciling all things — God to humanity, person to person, the fractured soul to itself — and then turning to his followers and saying: now you go do the same. The peacemakers are blessed because they look exactly like their Father — people who have received a peace the world cannot give, and who carry it at personal cost into every broken place the Fall left behind.
